Dagenham Green
For this project, JGD was appointed directly by a major UK housebuilder and chosen to deliver the district heating network for Dagenham Green in East London.
Ultimately, the scheme will deliver more than 3,500 homes alongside approximately 10 acres of public realm. 47% of the homes are planned for affordable rent and shared ownership.
Phase 1 comprises 935 homes across a mixture of build-to-rent, affordable rent, market sale, and shared ownership programmes. The wider development will also incorporate substantial social value commitments, including local employment, work experience placements, apprenticeships, and engagements with local schools.
JGD’s scope includes delivery of the district heating network using Series 3 single pre-insulated pipework. On completion, the network will be transferred to an established heat network asset owner and operator.
