Insulated with polyurethane (PUR) foam, and an outer casing of polyethylene (PE-HD), LOGSTOR twin steel pre-insulated pipes are fully compliant with EN15632, making them suitable for district heating and cooling networks.
As a bonded system, with the carrier pipe, insulation, and outer casing all moulded together to form a solid unit, they are available in series 1, 2, and 3.
Supplied in lengths of 6, 12, and 16 metres, each TwinPipe system includes two copper wires for use with leak surveillance systems. LOGSTOR twin steel pre-insulated pipes are available in carrier pipe sizes from O/D 26.9mm to 219,1 mm with the following temperature and pressure ratings:
- Calculated continuous operating temperature = 120°C
- Maximum short peak operating temperature = 140°C
- Calculated continuous surface temperature = 50°C
- Operating pressure = 25 bar
