Systems for district heating and cooling
ISOPLUS manufactures pre-insulated piping systems for local and district heating and cooling networks. Its portfolio includes rigid bonded steel and flexible pipe systems, with matching components for network branches, connections and joints.
JGD can assess the proposed system alongside the project engineer and product supplier, then plan the practical installation activities that affect network integrity: route, handling, carrier connections, casing joints, testing and handover.
- Review operating conditions and system suitability
- Coordinate route geometry, expansion and site interfaces
- Plan handling, welding or joining and casing-joint completion
- Check surveillance, testing and project quality requirements
Rigid and flexible options
Bonded steel systems suit many buried district energy mains where carrier strength, insulation and casing continuity are critical. Flexible systems may help with smaller branches and constrained connections, subject to the duty and specification.
The appropriate product, dimension and joint arrangement must be confirmed against current ISOPLUS guidance and the project design; no one system fits every temperature, pressure or route.
Buildable, testable delivery
Pre-insulated pipework performs as a complete network. The design and method need to give installers sufficient access to prepare, connect, test and close every joint before backfill.
JGD brings installation experience to those decisions and can discuss an appropriate delivery package once drawings, operating conditions and programme are available.

Specification note: Final product selection and installation details must follow the project engineer’s design and the current manufacturer guidance.
