LOGSTOR Bonded Steel Pipe Systems with Fusion Welded Joints
LOGSTOR pre-insulated bonded pipes comply with BS EN253, are suitable for district heating and cooling networks, and consist of a carbon steel service pipe, polyurethane (PUR) foam insulation, and an outer casing of polyethylene (PE-HD). With an operating pressure of up to 25 bar, the corresponding operating temperatures follow:
- Calculated continuous operating temperature = 120°C.
- Maximum short peak operating temperature = 140°C.
- Calculated continuous surface temperature = 50°C.
LOGSTOR’s traditional steel pre-insulated pipes can be supplied in standard lengths of 6m, 12m, and 16m and are available in three insulation thicknesses (Series 1, 2, and 3). Further, our inventory of pre-insulated pipes is manufactured to include dual copper wires embedded within the insulating layer of polyurethane (PUR) for use in leak detection systems.
The bonded steel pre-insulated pipes are available in carrier pipe sizes from O/D 26.9mm to 1219mm with typical applications including:
- Low-Temperature Hot Water (LTHW)
- Medium-Temperature Hot Water (MTHW)
- Cooling
- Steam
- Condensate
