Kettering General Hospital
After several months of pre-construction planning in consultation with key stakeholders, JGD District Heating was appointed to deliver the pre-insulated pipe heat network for Kettering General Hospital’s redevelopment.
The scheme is part of a £400 million programme to rebuild and expand the hospital, with a view to supporting the organisation’s wider Net Zero ambitions.
JGD was chosen through the project specialist mechanical contractor to deliver 1,812 linear metres of pre-insulated pipework to serve 11 buildings across the hospital site.
The network is being installed using Series 2 single pre-insulated pipework with fusion-welded BandJoint systems. NDT testing ensures quality standards are met across the installation.
This project demonstrates JGD’s ability to deliver large-scale specialist heat network infrastructure in complex, operational healthcare environments.
